We have been testing on some extractions for our partners. The first one we are preparing for decaffeination of coffee beans. They are a couple of ways to do this extraction. But essentially the method I’ve opted for is to swell the bean in water before the extraction. I have run a few variants for the customer so they can see the potential in using co2 for this process.
